Vibrational Spectroscopy

Vibrational Spectroscopy:

1-  FTIR – transmission, ATR (Attenuated Total Reflection ):

Infrared spectroscopy can be used to identify and study chemicals.

Three regions are available in the lab:

- Near IR (14000–4000 cm−1),

- Mid IR (4000–400 cm−1),

- Far IR (400–40 cm−1).

2- UV-Visible spectrophotometric analysis:

The ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy is a method routinely used for the quantitative analysis.

 

3- NMR (Nuclear magnetic resonance) spectroscopy:

NMR spectroscopy is a research technique that exploits the magnetic properties of certain atomic nuclei to determine the chemical of the sample.

  • Sample type: Polyolefin,
  • Examples of investigations: Determination of SCB, Polyolefin macrostructure elucidation.
  • Temperature: 110 °C,
  • Solvent: TCB1, 2, 4-Trichlorobenzen Toluene-D8
  • Experience:1H, 13C.
